Job Summary:

This is a manufacturing role that involves operating hand and air-powered tools to produce parts for custom equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with stainless steel materials and operating equipment such as punch presses, overhead cranes, and manual lathes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment in accordance with standard operating and quality assurance procedures.
  • Work with roll former and trimming department to produce high-quality parts.
  • Set up and operate spot weld machines to ensure proper welding.
  • Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes.
  • Start up, adjust, and operate machines used in production to ensure proper and efficient operation.
  • Set up and operate forming equipment to ensure proper forming and fit of parts.
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings, and other metal products.
  • Read blueprints, scan barcodes, and complete work orders through data collection terminals.
  • Check quality of finished products.
  • Report and discuss concerns or requirements for assistance with leadership.
  • Be flexible and open to changes in assignment to provide support to other areas of the department.
  • Perform general housekeeping and organization of work area.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of related manufacturing experience using hand, air grinding, and spot welder tools.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality with the ability to inspect your own work.
  • Ability to work well in a team and within a fast-paced environment.

Language Skills:

  • English.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic use of computers and RF scanners.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand, walk, and/or sit 100% of the time.
  • Use hands to handle, reach, and feel 100% of the time.
  • Talk and hear 100% of the time.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing environment working on production machinery.
