Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at IDEX Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing parts for our custom equipment using hand and air-powered tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment in accordance with standard operating and quality assurance procedures.
  • Work with roll former and trimming department to produce high-quality parts.
  • Set up and operate spot weld machines, and perform routine and repetitive assembly operations.
  • Start up, adjust, and operate machines used in production to ensure proper and efficient operation.
  • Setup and operate forming equipment to ensure proper forming and fit of parts.
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other material from surfaces of metal parts.
  • Read blueprints, scan barcodes, and complete work orders through data collection terminals.
  • Check quality of finished products and report any concerns or requirements for assistance.
  • Be flexible and open to changes in assignment to provide support to other areas of the department.
  • Perform general housekeeping and organization of work area.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of related manufacturing experience using hand, air grinding, and spot welder tools.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and within a fast-paced environment.

Language Skills

  • English.

Computer Skills

  • Basic use of computers and RF scanners.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment working on production machinery.
