As a Manager within our U.S. Corporate Tax division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful tax strategies. Collaborating with a diverse group of professionals, you will navigate the complexities of the regulatory environment to deliver customized tax solutions. Your expertise will be essential in addressing clients' cross-border requirements and effectively managing tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee client engagement teams in the execution of U.S. corporate tax initiatives, focusing on tax planning, minimization techniques, and compliance obligations.
  • Guide organizations in establishing optimal U.S. corporate structures and financing strategies.
  • Provide specialized knowledge on intricate tax and assurance issues through high-caliber deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence for potential acquisitions involving Canadian firms and U.S. operations.
  • Review federal and multi-state corporate tax filings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage project financials, including budget oversight, billing processes, and collections.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve tax-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Research and address client challenges associated with tax compliance and strategic planning.
  • Contribute to competitive proposals and engage with clients to assess their unique needs.
  • Ensure accuracy in work, supervise project timelines, and enhance client relationships.
  • Network within professional and community circles to uncover business opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop team members to support their professional advancement.
  • Participate in internal training programs to further enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • 5-8 years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. Corporate Tax and compliance regulations.
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and tax software applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A Master's Degree in U.S. Taxation or Law is considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
