Become a vital part of MNP, a prominent national firm specializing in accounting, taxation, and business consulting across Canada. We are seeking a Lead International Tax Accountant to join our esteemed International Corporate Tax division. This dynamic team of experts is dedicated to providing customized tax solutions within a multifaceted regulatory landscape. In your capacity as a Lead International Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for devising creative strategies that assist clients in optimizing their tax operations, improving efficiencies, and minimizing global tax liabilities while adhering to international reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute international corporate tax projects and offer insights on tax planning strategies
- Provide specialized knowledge on intricate tax matters through client consultations and documentation
- Assist businesses in establishing effective corporate frameworks from a tax perspective
- Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective acquisitions by Canadian corporations
- Investigate client inquiries related to compliance and strategic planning
- Formulate approaches to enhance client relationships and deliver added value
- Lead project teams and mentor junior staff members
- Participate in process enhancements and identify new avenues for business growth
- Willingness to travel as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration with a focus on accounting or finance
- Progressing towards or holding a CPA designation
- 2 to 4 years of pertinent experience in public accounting or taxation
- Proficient in accounting and tax software applications
