We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Teaching Assistant to support our faculty members in the delivery of Contracts and Constitutional Law courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading tutorial sessions, providing academic support to students, and assisting with course administration.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead tutorial sessions for Contracts and Constitutional Law courses
  • Provide academic support to students, including one-on-one consultations and group tutorials
  • Assist with course administration, including grading and data entry
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching materials
  • Collaborate with faculty members to ensure seamless course delivery
  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Master of Laws (LL.M.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Ottawa or equivalent
  • Minimum 7.0 GPA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience
  • Ability to use technology for teaching purposes
  • Initiative, independent work, and creativity
  • Flexibility and adaptability in new teaching and learning conditions
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by equity-seeking groups in a school setting
  • Demonstrated academic excellence (A- grade or higher) in the relevant subject
