Location: On-site at various locations
Shift Schedule: Wednesdays, 9 AM to 5 PM
Pay Rate: $30 to $35/hr Inc.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:- Provide on-site support services for end-users, including smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware.
- Deploy PC/Laptop and other end-user devices, ensuring they are properly configured and functional.
- Manage tickets in the ITSM tool, following appropriate procedural documentation.
- Perform technical diagnosis and repair of defective hardware, including break-fix, support, and assistance for end-user computing devices.
- Correct problems associated with failure or maintenance of end-user computing devices.
- Diagnose and resolve software functionality issues for operating systems and standard desktop applications on supported platforms.
- Maintain asset inventories, following applicable procedural documentation using approved Merck tools.
- A Degree or Diploma in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification.
- A minimum of Two to three (2-3) years of experience providing IT Infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals hardware problems.
- Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts.
- Skilled in desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows O/S.
- Basic Mac O/S support.
- Good written and oral communication skills and good people management skills with clients and management.
