Job Title: Telecom IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) Technician

Location: Remote

Type: Contract 3 to 6 months

Other: Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.

Our client is seeking a Telecom Technician to assist with a 3 to 6 month project. The role has the potential to become a permanent role after the initial contract for the right candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Support call center activities/requests, implementations, administration and troubleshooting of Meridian 1 systems, Symposium Call Center Server, and Call Pilot.
  • Install, change and move equipment and cables for voice communications & control and implement these installations, changes, and moves.
  • Understand and adhere to configuration standards for sites Canada wide.
  • Coordinate other support resources, i.e. vendors, business units, second level support.
  • Utilize the voice network management systems to monitor critical and non-critical services to support and respond proactively and resolve system flagged problems including collaborating with the appropriate vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of all Nortel Networks telephony architecture.
  • Working knowledge of call centre environments.
  • Working knowledge of Meridian (PBX, CallPilot, Symposium) phone systems.
  • Knowledge of phone hardware and connections;
  • PC literacy and familiarity with MS WORD and EXCEL;
