About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a Senior Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale distributed data processing systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop large-scale distributed data processing systems and applications
- Develop and implement software solutions using Python, Kafka, Spark, SQL, Hive, Impala, Hadoop, Splunk, Autosys, and shell scripting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop software solutions
- Perform performance analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of software issues
- Design and implement data visualization and big data analysis solutions
- Develop and maintain software documentation and technical guides
Requirements:
- 10+ years of software development experience building large-scale distributed data processing systems and applications
- Strong experience in Python, Kafka, Spark, SQL, Hive, Impala, Hadoop, Splunk, Autosys, and shell scripting
- Experience in DevOps activities, including Snow, Build (TeamCity, Jenkins), and UDeploy
- Good knowledge of capital markets and data analysis
- Experience in dealing with huge volumes of data operations
- Design best architecture and select the most appropriate modeling techniques and data visualization for big data analysis
- Performance analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution, including familiarity and investigation of Cloudera/Hadoop logs
- Experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and Cloud
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field
- Understanding of capital markets and financial derivatives (rates or other)
- Experience in UI design, JavaScript, and Angular charting, Graph
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Test-driven development, including Unit and End-to-End Testing
