Your Responsibilities:

Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Conducting hands-on laboratory assessments, including routine, advanced, and innovative tests to evaluate the physical characteristics of materials;
  • Executing flow loop testing, settling and filtration assessments, and rheological analysis;
  • Compiling factual reports as needed based on test outcomes;
  • Engaging in WSP's Health & Safety initiatives;
  • Supporting all facets of laboratory operations as required.
Your Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess:
  • A Technician or Technology Diploma in Metallurgical / Mining or Chemical Engineering is preferred;
  • Current status as (or eligibility for) Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist;
  • Experience in relevant laboratory evaluations is preferred;
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel;
  • A strong interest in the mining sector or mining-related projects;
  • Familiarity with ASTM testing protocols and material handling standards;
  • Knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting for laboratory testing equipment;
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities;
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work well in a team;
  • Willingness to travel; and,
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.
