We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in a part-time role, with the opportunity to work up to 20 hours per week. This position is ideal for individuals with a flexible schedule and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.


As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for the specimen collection process, from greeting patients to preparing specimens for transportation. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality will make you an asset to our team.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Greet and request required information from patients, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring patients have followed necessary test protocol prior to specimen collection.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
  • Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.
  • Maintain client relationships, responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
  • Complete data entry of required patient demographics, requisition information, and other information related to processing test results.
