About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Ahmic Lake Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for our cooking staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation to maintain our high culinary standards.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, ensuring exceptional presentation and flavor.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods for guests with dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain our high standards.
