About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our dedicated team focused on transforming the City of Toronto's fleet operations towards sustainability and climate resilience. This role will be instrumental in implementing strategic projects and programs that modernize operations, drive environmental initiatives, and support systems change within the City.

Reporting to the Program Manager of Sustainability, you will play a critical role in transitioning the City's fleet to sustainable, carbon-neutral operations, specifically overseeing the delivery and installation of essential infrastructure required for this transition.

About Our Division

The Fleet Services Division is responsible for managing the City's diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible transportation services that support the needs of Toronto residents and businesses.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects related to the implementation of sustainable fleet technologies and practices.
  • Develop and execute project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status and outcomes.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably within the transportation or sustainability sector.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices related to fleet operations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
