Job Title: Assistant Chef Manager

This is a key role within the Farm Boy Inc. team, responsible for supporting the Department Manager in achieving company, store, and department goals. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, develop and lead a high-performing team, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide superior customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Team Development: Assist in the development of the team by supporting training, coaching, and recognition, while maintaining confidentiality and trust.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the team, providing product knowledge, corporate policies, and Health and Safety information.
  • Floor Support: Provide floor support and supervision, including serving customers, merchandising, and maintaining a clean department.
  • Office Management: Support office management tasks, such as inventory, orders, invoices, scheduling, and payroll.
Requirements:
  • Education: Typically requires a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a clear and effective communication style.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
