We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Subway Sandwiches & Salads. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
- Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit reports, maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
This is a fast-paced environment where you will work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods and walk frequently.
Personal Suitability:- Interpersonal Skills: Efficient interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will be working with staff and customers on a daily basis.
- Communication: Excellent oral communication skills are required to effectively train and manage staff.
- Teamwork: A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support colleagues.
We are committed to supporting newcomers and refugees in their settlement journey. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and childcare, and support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
This is a permanent position, working 30-40 hours per week. The work language is English.
