Job Overview:

Lehigh Hanson is in search of a dedicated, safety-conscious, and reliable Electrician to enhance our local operations. In this role, you will oversee the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems, components, and devices for machinery and equipment within an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct electrical repairs and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of crushing and screening or mobile equipment components. Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on ready-mix concrete facilities. Replace or repair defective electrical components of machinery, including relays, motors, switches, printed circuit boards, and position sensing devices. Rewire motors as necessary. Utilize PC and PLC programming to diagnose process control issues for automated machinery. Calibrate instrumentation using programming devices. Troubleshoot and repair variable speed drives, process analyzers, and measuring equipment. Interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and manuals to determine work procedures and diagnose issues. Update prints to reflect field modifications. Collaborate with supervisors or other electrical and maintenance personnel to discuss operational variations and diagnose problems or repair machinery. Install power or instrumentation wiring and conduit for machinery and equipment. Employ standard hand tools, instruments, and power tools as required. Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting. Valid interprovincial or Red Seal Electrician certification. Familiarity with HMI and PLC control systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and blueprints. Strong problem-solving skills and capability to perform all technical aspects of the job using appropriate tools or systems. Proficient computer skills. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, sometimes exceeding 75 lbs. Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year. Ability to perform lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling, including working at elevated heights and in tight or awkward positions.
