Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Skretting is the world leader in the manufacturing and supply of aquaculture feeds, and we are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance team.

The successful candidate will carry out maintenance and repair work to electrical and mechanical installations or equipment, ensuring that technical assignments are carried out on time, safely, and according to specifications.

The Industrial Electrician will operate within a production/technical department, focusing on the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. The main purpose of the job is to prevent any malfunction of the equipment, apparatus, machinery, or systems used in the production process.

The Industrial Electrician may also support other facilities, such as office facilities and technical buildings, and systems for logistics and storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work to electrical and mechanical installations or equipment
  • Operate within a production/technical department, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Support other facilities, such as office facilities and technical buildings, and systems for logistics and storage
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and defects in equipment, machinery, measuring, and control systems
  • Perform emergency repairs, disassemble equipment/machinery, and make necessary repairs/changes
  • Work with colleagues on jobs of more extensive and/or complex nature

Requirements:

  • Completion of Electrical apprenticeship (Red Seal)
  • Certified in Canada
  • Minimum two years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to operate under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and deal with various stakeholders with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Adaptable to a flexible work style and willingness to assist other functions where needed
  • Proficient to read, write, and communicate in English
