Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Humani HR. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our organization, assisting with a wide range of HR tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-Day HR Support: Provide general HR administration, employee relations, and workplace investigations, performance management, training and development, health and safety program management, and other HR disciplines.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all HR processes are aligned with local employment laws and issues, ensuring compliance standards are met for each jurisdiction. This includes creating and implementing policies, handbooks, and Health and Safety programs as well as supporting HR Audits.
  • Investigations and Conflict Resolution: Conduct thorough investigations related to all workplace claims, collaborate and communicate with employees across all levels to understand their concerns and provide guidance, when appropriate, as a trusted HR advisor. Assist with conflict resolution, grievances, complaints, terminations, and leaves as needed.
  • Recruitment Support: Support and manage the company recruitment efforts alongside the HR department, including preparing job outlines, reviewing resumes, conducting preliminary interviews, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, drafting offer letters, and candidate sourcing.
  • Software and Records Management: Review and manage HR software updates, and changes. Ensure employee and company records are up to date and in compliance with local regulations.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in HR or related field.
  • Professional HR designation (CHRP) is an asset.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Experience with HR systems & programs including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and HRIS (Payworks).
  • Ability to be flexible to meet employee/company needs, and deadlines.
  • A true passion for HR, this means staying up to date with trends in the market and having an interest in how HR will evolve.
