Job Title: Direct Sales Representative

Medavie Blue Cross is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Direct Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling Medavie Blue Cross health insurance products to customers, capitalizing on sales opportunities and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell Medavie Blue Cross health insurance products to customers, leveraging inbound customer calls, outbound calls, and email interactions to achieve sales targets.
  • Gather customer needs to recommend product choices that best suit their unique situation.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing products and processes to adapt to our evolving business and competitive landscape.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential customers by advising on how our products and services can benefit them, using proven sales techniques to influence buying decisions.
  • Manage sales pipeline by tracking interactions with prospects using a CRM to document and organize sales activities.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to foster a positive and supportive environment within our internal community.
  • Drive sales results by meeting and exceeding personal and team targets, including individual sales targets, 1st year retention, sales conversion ratio, call quality, net production, and persistency.
  • Adhere to fiduciary responsibilities as a licensed insurance advisor, acting in the best interest of the client.
Qualifications:
  • Provincial Life, Accident & Sickness license required upon hire.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in sales and/or business or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years sales experience.
  • Persuasive and effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding listening skills.
  • A strong work ethic and high levels of initiative.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
