Position Overview:

  • The Insurance Sales Associate plays a vital role in supporting and enhancing the agency's operations, primarily through the sales and service of personal insurance products offered by The Co-operators, including auto and home insurance, with potential support for additional product lines.
  • Holding an LLQP - Life License is considered a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales, service, and profitable growth of personal insurance products.
  • Provide expert advice and recommend coverage options that align with client needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling by suggesting additional products and services that benefit clients.
  • Conduct initial risk assessments and selections in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Determine which risks necessitate inspections and follow-up evaluations.
  • Meet individual targets for client service, sales performance, quality, and productivity.
  • Foster programs aimed at building long-term client relationships.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns, resolve complaints, and escalate issues as necessary.

Expectations:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients' financial and personal information.
  • Engage directly with clients and/or service providers in their environments.
  • Undergo a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment if selected.

Requirements:

  • A General Insurance License is required or must be obtained within two months.
  • Fulfill all provincial licensing requirements, including continuing education, to maintain licenses.
  • A minimum of one year of sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with auto and property insurance products and sales techniques is advantageous.
  • LLQP - Life License is considered a significant asset.
