Our mission is to empower young Canadians aged 18-39 with the resources, mentorship, and support they need to launch and grow successful businesses.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering impactful programs that specifically support Indigenous and Northern entrepreneurs. You will work closely with young entrepreneurs, community organizations, and stakeholders to foster economic growth and opportunity in these regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement program initiatives tailored to the unique needs of Indigenous and Northern entrepreneurs.
  • Provide guidance and support to young entrepreneurs throughout their business journey, from idea generation to launch and growth.
  • Build strong relationships with community organizations, mentors, and other stakeholders to create a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurship.
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment activities to engage potential participants in our programs.
  • Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and prepare reports on program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Program team to ensure alignment with Futurpreneur Canada's overall strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in program development and implementation, preferably within the entrepreneurial or community development sector.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by Indigenous and Northern entrepreneurs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

  • Experience with event planning and execution
  • Management and volunteer management experience
  • Experience using social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram)
