Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential personal care and assistance to clients in their residences. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals requiring support.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months in a similar role is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking environment.
  • Work will primarily take place in the client's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Administer prescribed medications as directed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support clients in engaging in regular physical activities, such as walking.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with feeding and meal preparation.
Certifications Required
  • CPR Certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Must handle repetitive tasks effectively.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
