Job Summary
The Assistant Department Manager assists the Store Operations Manager and provides leadership to store team members. This role takes a leadership position to ensure that departmental standards of excellent customer service, high-quality product, proper food safety, and efficient procedures are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Operations Manager in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to store team members to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Maintain departmental standards of excellent customer service, high-quality product, proper food safety, and efficient procedures.
- Share responsibility for the overall operation and profitability of the department.
- Work with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Operations Manager.

Working Conditions
Work involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment and on the retail floor.
Typical motions include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, and reaching.
Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 10 – 40 lbs with a maximum weight lifted of 75 lbs occasionally.
May be exposed to various allergens and work environments, including temperature changes.
Will be required to spend the majority of time standing.
