Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Langdon Hall Relais & Chateaux. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Create new recipes and menus to ensure culinary excellence.
  • Train and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
  • Plan and execute menus to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Work Environment

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina. You will work under pressure to deliver high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
