Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to achieve high-quality food production and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking methods to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Source and procure high-quality ingredients, supplies, and equipment to support kitchen operations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and storage to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute special events, buffets, and banquets.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, labor costs, and inventory levels to achieve budget targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • East Indian cuisine specialty.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
