Casualty Claims Analyst II

At AIG, we're reimagining the way we help customers manage risk. As a Casualty Claims Analyst II, you'll play a crucial role in this transformation, growing your skills and experience as a valued member of our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Review casualty claims in conjunction with policy wordings to determine coverage and ensure compliance with our litigation guidelines.
- Provide direction to adjusters on investigation of claims, ensuring timely reserve review, notes, payment requests, and electronic diary management.
- Prepare disclaimer and/or reservation of rights letters and communicate same to underwriters, brokers, and insureds when applicable.
- Participate in mediation/ADR process to bring about resolution of claims and negotiate settlements directly where possible.
- Issue payments within appropriate time frames and operate within our best practices guidelines.
- Minimum 2 years experience handling commercial casualty claims.
- College/University or equivalent industry experience.
- Ability to make decisions and give directions to adjusters and/or counsel.
- Must be a quick learner with strong communication and negotiating skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proficient computer skills to navigate paperless claim file systems.
