Position Overview:
Type of position: Regular

Your Role:
As BBA continues to expand, we are seeking a seasoned project manager with experience in a consulting engineering context to address the growing demands of our clientele. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing decisive leadership to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects.
  • Planning, directing, and overseeing project delivery in alignment with BBA's objectives and ensuring satisfaction for clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving technical, financial, scheduling, and human resource challenges to minimize potential discrepancies.
  • Assessing project risks and implementing strategies to eliminate or mitigate them.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety policies by qualified personnel trained for project tasks.
  • Maintaining the quality of professional services in accordance with our quality management system to uphold BBA's esteemed reputation.
  • Actively participating in business development initiatives and preparing proposals.
  • Integrating available resources into projects to enhance the development of BBA's capabilities.
  • Selecting suitable personnel to manage technical risks in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Serving as a mentor to project teams.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • At least twenty years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing medium to large EPCM and EPC projects in the mining or heavy industry sectors
  • Experience in overseeing preliminary studies
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and project control, procurement, and construction management teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern project management methodologies
  • Strong time management and decision-making abilities
  • Capability to maintain collaborative relationships with personnel, clients, and suppliers
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English and French)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office
  • Preferred: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
  • Preferred: experience on construction sites
  • Preferred: experience managing international projects
  • Preferred: experience in joint ventures or partnerships
