Opportunity: Maintenance Technician & Project Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician & Project Lead to join our team in the Saguenay Lac St-Jean region. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technology within the aluminum industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and uphold rigorous Health, Safety, and Environmental standards throughout our operations.
  • Provide essential support to the maintenance team in ensuring smooth equipment operation and adherence to preventive maintenance programs.
  • Actively participate in problem-solving initiatives and contribute to technological advancements within our facilities.
  • Lead and manage small to medium-sized projects encompassing equipment startup, modifications, and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Guarantee the successful completion of project deliverables and objectives within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with plant operations and commissioning teams to ensure optimal equipment reliability and performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement effective strategies for managing work health and safety protocols.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and mutual respect.
Requirements:
  • A steadfast commitment to safety practices and continuous process improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • A relevant academic background in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance environments.
  • Genuine interest in high-technology applications and the intricacies of aluminum production processes.
  • Fluency in French and a working knowledge of English.
