About the Role

IKO Industries Ltd., a leading manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is seeking a highly skilled Talent Development Specialist to support the development, delivery, and deployment of organizational talent development and learning programs across various business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to design end-to-end learning solutions and training content that aligns with company needs.
  • Learning Material Creation: Develop and distribute learning materials, including training presentations, e-learning modules, facilitator guides, and job aids.
  • Program Rollout: Support the rollout of learning programs and initiatives across multiple business units, making customizations and accommodations as needed.
  • Training Facilitation: Work with team members to facilitate soft-skills and leadership training sessions, both in-person and virtually.
  • Blended Learning: Incorporate blended learning and adult learning principles into instructional mediums, including self-led programs, instructor-led programs, e-learning, and classroom programs.
  • Engagement Surveys: Support the launch of company engagement surveys and present functional results, develop action planning processes, conduct focus groups, lead steering committees, and facilitate action planning discussions with leaders.
  • Program Logistics: Coordinate and execute program logistics, organize necessary materials, and manage facility support for learning initiatives.
  • LMS Administration: Support the day-to-day operations of Workday Learning (LMS).
  • Training Compliance: Ensure training compliance (HSE, HR, job-specific) and enhance the training experience by revising the onboarding process and digitizing static training.
  • Organizational Development: Support organizational development through the development or enhancement of various programs, including Onboarding, Supervisor Development, Manager Development, LMS, Pulse Surveys, Wellness, etc.
  • Employee Engagement: Support company employee engagement and mental health and wellness-related initiatives.
  • Evaluation and ROI: Evaluate the impact and return on investment of L&D initiatives by tracking learning metrics, measuring the impact of learning, and progress against goals to make recommendations on existing and future initiatives.
Requirements
  • Project Management: Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously to meet timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Experience: Ability to work across various business units, managing differences, expectations, and relationships.
  • Training Experience: Considerable experience in designing, developing, and delivering a variety of training courses, programs, and curricula to diverse audiences.
  • Succession Planning: Experience in succession planning and talent management.
  • Coaching and Consulting: Experience with coaching, consulting, and facilitation.
  • Change Management: Ability to support and lead change.
  • Technology: Confidence in working with new technology and learning new software.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple groups across the business.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead workgroups.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Learning & Development or Organizational Development.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), E-Learning Authoring Tools (Articulate 360), and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Manufacturing Experience: Experience in manufacturing an asset.
  • Workday Learning Experience: Experience administrating Workday learning an asset.
