Role Summary
The Regional Director of Partnerships will serve as the primary liaison for cultivating relationships with essential stakeholders, including provincial governments, financial institutions, industry representatives, and academic organizations within their designated area. This role will also involve representing Stonewood at significant regional events, acting as a corporate ambassador, and playing a vital role in advocating for and overseeing the execution of strategic initiatives while providing the necessary leadership to inspire and achieve the organization's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategies in collaboration with regional stakeholders.
- Identify and nurture relationships with financial partners interested in supporting Stonewood-funded initiatives.
- Analyze and advise on relationship development opportunities to align with the organization's business goals.
- Establish and strengthen connections with key strategic partners in the cleantech industry.
- Manage various stakeholder relations issues to meet business needs.
- Collect and disseminate information regarding sustainable development initiatives in the region.
- Engage in key industry and government working groups, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Travel Requirements
Some travel within the region and to the headquarters may be necessary.
Qualifications
- A university degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering.
- Over 8 years of diverse business experience, including a minimum of 3 years in business development, stakeholder relations, strategic alliances, or product management.
- Recent experience in the cleantech sector with a network spanning finance, SMEs, industry, provincial and regional governments, or academia.
- Proven track record in managing projects involving both private sector and government stakeholders.
- Experience with organizations of varying sizes, from startups to large corporations.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic environment that values communication and continuous improvement.
Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of key cleantech policies and issues, with the ability to analyze and synthesize information to identify long-term trends.
- Capacity to translate strategic stakeholder relations objectives into actionable project-specific targets.
- Analytical skills to develop and present comprehensive business cases that encompass business, technical, and policy perspectives.
- Ability to synthesize complex ideas logically and develop effective long-term plans.
- Strong relationship management skills to build and maintain credibility with a diverse range of external stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate details and nuances effectively.
- Proficient in using office productivity tools, including Microsoft Office.
