About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team at TINY HEARTS DAYCARE CENTER as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and support their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Engagement and Activities: Encourage children to express their creativity through various activities such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Meal and Rest Periods: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for children.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a Child Abuse Registry check and a Vulnerable Sector check.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, oral communication skills, and be a team player with a creative approach to childcare.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work language is English.
