Nisa Homes is a transitional shelter that provides a safe and supportive environment for residents to heal and regain independence. As a Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the residents and their children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care.
  • Develop and implement a weekly childcare curriculum that promotes learning and development.
  • Provide guidance and support to single mothers in addressing behavioral or emotional challenges their children may be facing.
  • Access resources and referrals to support the needs of single mothers and their children.
  • Maintain a clean and organized children's play area.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Educator, or related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to high standards of ethical care.
  • Additional languages are an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and issues of different social groups, including women experiencing or at risk of homelessness, women fleeing abuse, and newcomers.
