Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Advance Sheet Metal Ltd. as a Sheet Metal Production Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment, sorting metal sheets and parts, and performing various tasks related to metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Sort and Organize Materials: Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform Fabrication Tasks: Perform various tasks related to metal fabrication, including grinding or chipping excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain equipment and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Load and Unload Vehicles: Load and unload vehicles with metal products and equipment.
  • Polish Metal Products: Polish metal products to a mirror finish.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The successful candidate must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet the demands of a physically demanding job.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with lifting devices and hand tools is required.
  • Weight Handling: The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and handle heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: The successful candidate must be a team player, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
