Sheet Metal Fabricator Position

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Advance Sheet Metal Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture and assemble ducts for heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, ensuring high-quality products that meet customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Measure and mark sheet metal accurately according to templates and designs, using precision tools and equipment.
  • Operate metalworking machines, such as shears, brakes, and rolls, to cut and shape sheet metal into desired forms.
  • Grind and buff surfaces to achieve a smooth finish, ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Develop computerized patterns and designs using specialized software, to create custom sheet metal products.
  • Cut and assemble sheet metal parts, using various techniques and tools, to create complex products.
  • Install sheet metal products according to building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment, such as sanders and polishers, to remove imperfections and achieve a high-gloss finish.
Requirements:
  • High school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • English language proficiency, with excellent reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • 30-40 hours per week, with a regular schedule and opportunities for overtime.
