About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex medical equipment, including electromyography and diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment: Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and make any necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests: Use your expertise to conduct diagnostic tests, including electrocardiographs, cardiac ultrasound, and other electronic equipment.
  • Monitor patient results: Record and analyze patient results, providing accurate and timely information to healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams: Work closely with healthcare teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical technologies and techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Certifications: Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Registration.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
