About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the activities of our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our departmental processes, and providing exceptional patient care.

As a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for performing peripheral tasks related to the departmental operation, including assisting patients, patient transfers, and computer radiographic information data entry. You will also support the activities of the Diagnostic Imaging Department by performing non-patient care functions.

This is a long-assignment full-time position, requiring shift work, evenings, nights, and weekends. You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

About You
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • One year knowledge of computer systems regarding entering, updating, and retrieving patient information
  • Able to set priorities
  • Experience in Diagnostic Imaging an asset
  • Effective organization and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 24 months
  • Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
Compensation and Benefits

$23.37 hourly
