About the Role

The Supervisor, Respite and Leisure Services is a key position within our organization, responsible for the day-to-day operation of seasonal and recreational supports. This role requires strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to ensure high-quality support is provided while maintaining compliance with regional and provincial laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership and coaching to team members
  • Collaborate effectively with staff and external stakeholders
  • Meet organizational expectations for quality assurance and outcome achievement
  • Ensure support maximizes independence through natural supports and community networks
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of seasonal programs and recreational initiatives
  • Identify recruitment needs and assist with hiring of support staff
  • Schedule and manage staff hours of work
  • Develop and implement strategies for staff development and growth
  • Resolve conflicts and build trust within the team
Requirements
  • Developmental Services Worker Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time relevant work experience in a human service organization
  • Demonstrated ability to apply leadership, coaching, and supervisory principles
  • Knowledge of Centre for Quality & Excellence (CQL) values and approach
  • Current valid certificates in First Aid/CPR
  • Valid Ontario Driver's license and insurance
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
