Job Summary:

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Community Engagement and Partnerships department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen and grow our Community Service Learning (CSL) portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Partnership Strategies: Collaborate with faculty members and community partners to identify areas of growth for experiential learning opportunities and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Build and Maintain Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, including research and development of experiential learning, extracurricular volunteering, and CSL opportunities.
  • Database Management: Update and maintain our internal database with relevant information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Community Outreach: Act as an ambassador for the University of Ottawa at networking events, promoting our community engagement initiatives and building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Management: Stay current on community sector priorities and placement trends, applying this knowledge to inform our partnership development strategies.

Requirements:

  • Business Development and Community Engagement: Proven experience in business development and community engagement principles, with a strong understanding of the local and national community engagement landscape.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and drive results-oriented partnerships.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and negotiate mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Bilingualism: Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
