About the Role
Spectrum Health Care is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in Mississauga. As a key member of our community care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-focused, safe, and holistic nursing care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Ensure that nursing care is based on best practices to achieve successful outcomes
- Continually assess, anticipate, and respond to new and changing patient needs
- Travel within your region to provide care to patients in their homes
Requirements
- Minimum two years of nursing experience, with community nursing experience preferred
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Ability to work independently in the community
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with additional languages an asset
- Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Experience with infusion therapy, mental health, palliative care, and wound care
- Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills
