As a leader in foundational software components for the automotive sector and mission-critical applications, QNX Software Systems is looking for skilled embedded developers to join our Advanced Technology Development team. This team is dedicated to exploring future technology and product possibilities relevant to our markets and the expansion of our product offerings. As a successful candidate, you will play a vital role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The team is tasked with not only anticipating future technology trends but also initiating the development of product concepts, adhering to all product development protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement development plans and strategies in alignment with key technology trends
  • Engage in architecture and strategy discussions with our technology partners
  • Contribute design insights for future products and solutions
  • Create design documentation and other relevant artifacts in accordance with our product development processes
  • Advance key innovations within the broader QNX software portfolio
  • Formulate and develop integration strategies for both internal and external infrastructures
  • Establish and execute automation strategies for the complete software lifecycle (develop/test/deploy/update)
  • Apply suitable security models and strategies

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of relevant professional experience
  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming
  • Experience in developing for various OS architectures (Linux and QNX preferred)
  • Capability to work with diverse hardware configurations (setup, bring-up, etc.)
  • Experience in Embedded Development and/or cross-platform development
  • Strong analytical and software debugging abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and an open approach to teamwork
