Job Title: Senior Software Developer - Embedded Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at QNX Software Systems. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for our embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software for embedded systems, including file systems, device drivers, and system software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets requirements and is delivered on time.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, including user manuals, technical notes, and release notes.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code.
  • Identify and troubleshoot software issues, and develop solutions to resolve them.

Requirements:

  • Strong C programming skills and experience with embedded systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of POSIX-based operating system architectures and file systems.
  • Understanding of operating system concepts, including process management, memory management, and file systems.
  • Experience with the GNU tool set, including gdb and gcc.
  • Understanding of multi-CPU, multi-threaded architectures and real-time systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with QNX operating system and file systems.
  • Knowledge of system-level QNX development, including resource managers and build/development tools.
  • Experience with performance, memory, and post-mortem analysis.
  • Experience with git, SVN, and the GNU tool set.
  • Experience in low-level assembly programming on ARM and/or x86.
