The successful candidate will be responsible for creating long-term relationships to meet sales goals and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Origination of contracts for food grade soybeans and edible dry beans
* Procurement of commercial grains
* Assist with retail sales for seed and crop protection products
* Develop and maintain relationships with customers and provide updates on market trends, quotes and the ag business overall
* Record keeping and administration of contract documentation
* Work with growers on plots and in-field demonstration trials for evaluating new products and practices
* Maintain sales targets, prospect lists and product targets that strive to meet the overall organizational goals

Requirements:

* Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
* Strong agricultural background and knowledge of industry
* Strategic selling and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Agriculture
* Minimum 5 years' previous experience in a sales position
* Valid Ontario Driver's License
