As a SRE Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the financial services of the future, working on the next generation technical platform for Lloyds Banking Group.

We're looking for a skilled SRE Engineer to join our Mainframe Source Code & Deployments team. You will be responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining the stability and performance of systems and applications, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring smooth operations with minimal disruptions.

As a SRE Engineer, you will create and manage comprehensive documentation, ensuring precision, currency, and thoroughness. You will also provide technical roadmaps and strategic direction for the Lloyds Mainframe Software Configuration Management and Deployment tooling, leadership, and training.

Implementation of new complex technical solutions, including DevOps, within an enterprise environment is a key aspect of this role. You will collaborate closely with individuals involved to gather requirements, enabling the design of efficient systems.

Providing out-of-hours support and flexible, independent working are also essential aspects of this role. Mainframe Software Configuration Management, specifically Endevor, is a key area of focus.

We're looking for a diverse technical experience, independent and flexible worker who can work with teams to implement complex solutions. DevOps advocates who have demonstrated the ability to implement new tools and processes are also highly valued.

Experience implementing Mainframe solutions is essential, and knowledge of COBOL, Assembler, CICS, DB2, DB2 SQL, Unix System Services (zOS), Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and effective engineering practices and methodologies is highly desirable.
