Job Title: SRE Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled SRE Software Engineer to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a key member of our Engineering platform, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our technical platform.

About the Role

As an SRE Software Engineer, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining the stability and performance of our systems and applications. You will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring smooth operations with minimal disruptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the stability and performance of systems and applications
  • Create and manage comprehensive documentation, ensuring precision, currency, and thoroughness
  • Implement new complex technical solutions within an enterprise environment
  • Provide out of hours support and flexible, independent working
Requirements
  • Extensive understanding of effective engineering practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of COBOL, Assembler, CICS, DB2, DB2 SQL, Unix System Services (zOS)
  • Experience implementing Mainframe solutions
  • DevOps advocate with the ability to implement new tools and processes
