We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in acute inpatient areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to develop a comprehensive care plan
- Collaborate with patients and their families/caregivers to develop and implement the care plan
- Provide nursing interventions and care to patients, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Participate in the care and discharge planning process for patients on admission
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate/prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety type interventions
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families/caregivers, and members of the interprofessional care team
- Ability to promote person-centered care and demonstrate empathy, trust, and respect for patients and families/caregivers
