Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic team environment at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating nursing care to patients in acute inpatient areas. You will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered care and make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients and collect information from various sources to make informed nursing decisions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families/care givers
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery
- Teach patients and families/care givers about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance
- Document assessments, nursing diagnoses, observations, interventions, and patient/family responses
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Skills and Abilities- Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessment and provide nursing care through appropriate/prescribed technical, therapeutic, safety type interventions
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families/care givers, and members of the interprofessional care team
- Ability to promote person-centered care and demonstrate empathy for patients and families/care givers
- Ability to integrate and evaluate data from multiple sources to problem-solve effectively
