Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our People & Safety team at BC Ferries. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting workforce data to drive strategic decision-making.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, People Analytics, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with business partners to understand key business priorities and curate actionable people metrics and insights
- Designing, developing, and maintaining self-service dashboards and scalable analytics solutions for business leaders
- Building relational data models and dashboard reports in select platforms
- Supporting the overall accuracy, integrity, and governance of our people systems and data
- Preparing and presenting data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes to senior business leaders
- Continuously seeking opportunities to improve data collection processes, analysis methods, and reporting tools
- Implementing best practices in data management and analysis to enhance the overall effectiveness of people operations
- Compiling, analyzing, and submitting people data to comply with internal and external reporting or other legislative people requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
- 3-5 years' experience in a data-focused role, preferably in a people or scheduling function
- 3-5 years' experience interpreting collective agreements with a thorough understanding of correlation between compensation, total rewards, talent acquisition, payroll, time & attendance, onboarding, lifecycle transactions, scheduling, and reporting

We offer a competitive salary range of $81,100 - $101,300 per annum, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including company pension, dental care, disability insurance, employee assistance program, extended health care, life insurance, paid time off, relocation assistance, vision care, and wellness program.
