Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Coordinator Co-op Student to join our team. As a Project Coordinator Co-op Student, you will assist our Project Managers and Superintendents in all aspects of the construction process, including monitoring project plans, schedules, and stakeholder meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Startups
    • Support project startups, including tendering and bid evaluations, subcontract preparation, utilities and site services applications, permit applications, quantity take-offs, and development of the project communication plan.
    • Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Project Execution and Document Control
    • Manage project documents, including Request for Information (RFI), Site Instructions (SI), Submittals, Change Requests (CRX), and Change Orders (CO).
    • Ensure the integrity of the QA/QC plan and maintain accurate records.
  • Project Closeout
    • Assist with inspections, owner training, and management of the O&M Manuals.
    • Review, track, and communicate punch and deficiency lists.
    • Remove all insurance, closeout of utilities and site services, and remove temporary facilities.
  • Facilitation and Communication
    • Facilitate, record, and compile meeting minutes.
    • Follow up on action items and track productivity and performance of the project.
  • Project Accounting
    • Assist with project accounting basics.
  • Compliance and Relationships
    • Adhere to Clark Builders' policies and procedures.
    • Aid others in compliance and support ongoing trade partner and client relationships.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction-related discipline.
  • Experience
    • Experience working as a Project Coordinator for a Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional Construction organization is an asset.
    • Experience with Procore, Last Planner System, and collaborative pull planning is an asset.
    • Experience with various types of construction contracts is an asset.
