Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Machinery Technician to join our team at Martinrea International Inc. As an Industrial Machinery Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Install, examine, replace, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic devices, as well as mechanical drive assemblies.
  • Fabricate new or replacement components/parts in accordance with supplied drawings and verbal instructions.
  • Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and help maintain mechanical spare parts inventory levels.
  • Perform repairs on equipment to restore it to proper and safe working conditions.
  • Recognize and diagnose faults on mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components or systems.
  • Test mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and components for effectiveness.
  • Inform Maintenance Manager/Supervisor about changes in schematics and update original diagrams.
  • Adhere to work order, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms.
  • Perform LOCK OUT/TAG OUT procedure 100% of the time on machines/machines being serviced.
  • Ensure production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown or unsafe operating conditions.
  • Perform installation, setup, modification, and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • 100% plant floor (PPE required).

Physical Demands:

  • Require communication with employees, peers, and management.
  • Lifting and pushing as needed.

  • Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices, or certain clothing as required by the company.
  • All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes, or forklifts.
  • All employees must follow all LOTO procedures.
  • Comply with all environmental requirements, including our recycling program.
