We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Sushi J. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes to meet the expectations of our discerning customers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that our team is equipped to deliver exceptional service.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, minimizing waste and optimizing our kitchen operations.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure that the kitchen and work areas are clean and safe, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and ability to work in a team.
- Personal Qualities: Dependability, flexibility, and a team player attitude are essential.
This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.
