About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer programs related to scientific fields, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise senior executives on environmental issues related to our company's activities, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Analyze samples of gases and vapors, utilizing your technical expertise to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct research, staying up-to-date on the latest environmental trends and best practices.
  • Document investigations and conclusions/recommendations, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Monitor budgets allocated to environmental programs, ensuring effective resource management.
  • Monitor environmental non-compliance and required corrective actions, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks.
  • Report information to supervisor, providing timely and informative updates.
  • Provide consulting services to government and other organizations, leveraging your expertise to drive positive change.
  • Client communication, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional service delivery.
  • Prepare work plans and cost estimates, developing comprehensive strategies for environmental projects.
  • Manage environmental field work programs, overseeing logistics and ensuring successful project execution.
  • Mentor and train staff, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Manage, review, and sign-off on technical reports, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Liaise with regulators, contractors, and other third parties, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Maintain billable targets as set by CEO/COO, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Undertake occasional travel to destinations as needed, representing Immigrate and promoting our values.
  • Provide excellent levels of service to our internal and external clients, exceeding expectations and building trust.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant contaminated sites/reclamation/natural sciences experience in environmental consulting in BC, with 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Technical diploma or degree in a related discipline, such as environmental science or a related field.
  • Possesses a recognized accredited professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag. etc.) recognized in BC, or the ability to acquire one.
  • Experience in contaminated sites on urban sites, with extensive knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in managing technically complex projects, working with a dynamic team, and overseeing cost controls.
  • Energy, intelligence, and integrity, with a relentless drive for exceptional client experience.
  • Experience managing and working with a multi-disciplinary team, promoting collaboration and excellence.
  • Reliable attention to details that matter most, accuracy-driven, and professional organizational skills.
